Visit a unique vacation destination – Dune Nest on Bald Head Island. Located two nautical miles off the coast of southeastern North Carolina, Bald Head Island is a resort and residential community accessible only by boat or passenger ferry. With 14 miles of unspoiled beaches, an 800-acre maritime forest, and 10,000 acres of salt marshes and tidal creeks, the island is a true getaway from the rest of the hectic world.
Dune Nest is the perfect place to call “home”, while you enjoy the Island:

Convenient Location
Dune Nest is located on Palm Court just behind the wooded dune ridge. You get the best of both worlds: Close enough to the beach to walk, but with the shade, privacy and price of the forest. By golf cart, it is only about a one-minute ride to the beach access. Palm Court is a quiet street, ideal for walking, cycling, and skating and conveniently close to the grocery store and the rest of the island. The end of the street backs up to the protected Maritime Forest.

Comfort & Space
With almost 2,100 square feet of space, Dune Nest sleeps eight comfortably. It features three bedrooms with full baths on the main floor, and an upstairs loft with a queen sleeper sofa and a fourth full bath. The two largest bedrooms are twin master suites; each has its own private screened porch, and spacious bath with an oversized tub. With the two master suites, the house is perfect for a large family or two couples with or without children. In addition, a full-size kitchen and large, vaulted great room with dining area are on the main floor. Enjoy dining and relaxing on the screened porch, which extends the full width of the house beyond the great room.

A variety of birds visit the bird feeder behind the screened porch. We have carried the bird theme inside the house with numerous birdhouses, cages, statues, wall border, and clock. For the previous owners, this was a permanent residence. It shows in the beautiful décor and the unexpected touches—laminate wood flooring, built-in bookshelves, ceilings painted in soft colors, abundant closet space.
