A smart home is software, and software drifts. Firmware updates, a new router, a new TV, a child who now needs their own scene. Every install includes one year of workmanship warranty. The care plan covers what comes after that.

Before you call
The questions we hear on every first call.
Do I need to re-wire or renovate?
Usually not. Most of what we install is retrofit — smart modules behind existing switches, wireless sensors, battery or plug-in devices. We'll tell you at the visit if anything genuinely needs new cabling, and it goes in the quote before you commit.
How much does a typical apartment run?
Connected Living for a typical 2-bedroom starts around EGP 48,000 supplied and installed. Peace of Mind (cameras, lock, doorbell) from EGP 42,000. A comfort-led job with shades and audio from EGP 95,000. Villas are quoted after a visit — often from EGP 180,000 depending on shading and audio. You get one fixed figure at step two.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Switches, locks and thermostats keep working. Automations run on a local controller in your home. The internet is only needed for remote access and voice assistants. This is a design choice and we won't build it any other way.
Where does the camera AI actually run?
On a small dedicated box inside your home. Faces, pets, parcels and vehicles are classified locally, and footage stays on your recorder. Nothing leaves the house unless you turn on remote viewing. You enrol the faces; staff and guests are optional; any camera can be excluded.
Am I locked into DuneNest afterwards?
No. We hand over full admin access, documentation and a device list. The system is yours and any competent integrator can work on it. The care plan is optional and cancellable monthly.
Which brands do you install?
We're platform-neutral. We spec around the property and budget, favouring Matter-compatible hardware so nothing traps you. Most jobs land on Matter, Apple Home, Google Home or KNX — not all of them. If you've already bought devices, bring the list; we'll usually build around them.
Where do you work?
Greater Cairo for day-to-day installs — New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, 6th of October, Maadi, Heliopolis and Zamalek. Vacation homes in Ain Sokhna, the North Coast and similar: cameras, locks and climate you can watch from the city. Tell us where the house is.
How long does an installation take?
An apartment package is typically one to three days on site. A full villa runs one to two weeks depending on shading and audio. You'll get a date range in the quote, and we work around you rather than moving you out.
